2022 WRX Back Lamp Switch Recall

This July, SUBARU notified the Ministry of Transport in Japan of a recall (recovery and free repair) due to the possibility that the back lamp of the "WRX" may not light up, due to the inappropriate materials used in the parts that make up the back lamp switch, the target vehicle model may develop a black film on the contact part inside the switch and corrode the material. Therefore, if you continue to use it as it is, there is a possibility that the back lamp will not light up.

The target is 22,841 units manufactured from June 11, 2014 to March 25, 2020. As an improvement measure, all vehicles will be inspected, and if applicable, replaced with countermeasure products.

Only 56 malfunctions were reported and no accidents. The recall was filed based on information from the market.
