Subaru Forester 2020

Subaru announced an improved model of the SUV "Forester" on October 22, 2020.

In this improvement, "Sports" equipped with a newly developed 1.8-liter direct-injection turbo "DIT" engine (maximum output 130kW(177ps) at 5200-5600rpm and  maximum torque 300Nm at 1600-3600rpm) has been added. Furthermore, the grades equipped with the electric technology "e-BOXER" have been expanded to "X-BREAK" and "Touring". The "X-BREAK" is equipped with a new control motor assist "e-active shift control".

In addition to the new engine, the new grade "Sports" uses a specially developed damper and coil springs to achieve a sporty ride with a high quality while being an SUV.

The exterior is equipped with a black-painted front grille, gray metallic-painted front fog lamp cover / electrically retractable door mirror / roof spoiler / shark fin antenna, dark metallic-painted aluminum wheels, and dual muffler with sports cutter. The interior is equipped with a combination seat of ultra suede and genuine leather, instrument panel decorative panel (black paint & ultra suede skin), multi-information display meter for sports, genuine leather-wrapped steering wheel with high tactile leather, sports pedal with aluminum pad, etc. ..

In addition, a "driver monitoring system" that recognizes the driver's face and automatically reproduces the seat position, door mirror angle, air conditioning, etc. has been set for all grades.

With this improvement, the model equipped with a 2.5-liter engine has been discontinued.
